Back on route outbound. Stops missed: Okeefe @ Julia; Okeefe @ Girod; Poydras @ Loyola; Poydras @ City Hall.

W6 Gretna Local

The Gretna Local route connects historic downtown Gretna to the Algiers Ferry Terminal via Wilty Terminal. Wilty Terminal provides connections to the W2 Westbank Expressway, W3 Lapalco, and W8 Terrytown. (Visit the RTA website to check their current schedules.)

Bus stops are located approximately every 2 blocks.

  • Juneteenth (Observed):  Saturday, 6/21/2025 no change in service
  • Independence Day:     Friday, 7/4/25
  • Labor Day:                       Monday, 9/1/25
  • Thanksgiving Day:       Thursday, 11/27/25
  • Christmas:                       Thursday, 12/25/25

A separate schedule will be announced and used during carnival season (week preceding Mardi Gras day).

Routes without Saturday service do not operate on holidays.
