West Bank buses W2 and W3 are on detour. This is due to street closure on Okeefe street brought on by debris falling from building. They will exit Expressway at Claiborne to Tulane. To Main Library. Until further notice, due to construction work on Veterans Blvd, the E1-Veterans, outbound service stop ID#11053, on Veterans at Idaho has been temporarily discontinued. Passengers may board the bus at Veterans and Indiana, stop ID #11060 by Chick-fil-A.

Move Metairie On-Demand Zone

Route Map

Move Metairie On-Demand Zone is a public mobility service that provides Metairie residents, workers, and visitors with on-demand, curb-to-curb transportation throughout the Metairie Road District.

This service is offered Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. All trips must start and end in the green-hatched area on the map above. The service is free of charge for riders transferring at the Canal Boulevard Terminal and the Airline-Severn bus stop. All other rides will only cost the rider the base JP Transit fare of $1.50.

Passengers may use Move Metairie On-Demand Zone for up to 60 rides per month. Move Metairie pricing is a JP Transit travel subsidy valid for up to $15 of the ride cost. Any ride costs beyond $15 will be the responsibility of the rider.

On your smartphone:

  1. Download the Lyft app
  2. In the “Promos” section of the Lyft app, enter promotional codes: MoveMet
  3. When traveling to/from a home, know the exact address.

For riders without a smartphone:

  1. Call (504) 367-RIDE or (504) 367-7433 to request a Lyft pick-up by phone.
  2. When traveling to/from a home, know the exact address.

ADA Accessibility:

A dial-in service is available at (504) 367-RIDE or (504) 367-7433 to request a pick-up in a fully ADA accessible vehicle.

This first-of-its-kind, innovative app will help you plan ahead, and avoid delays. The app is available for Android users on Google Play and for Apple users in the App Store.

This app was developed in partnership by Councilwoman Jennifer Van Vrancken, Gresham Smith, New Orleans Regional Planning Commission, and Jefferson Parish.

A separate schedule will be announced and used during carnival season (week preceding Mardi Gras day).

Routes without Saturday service do not operate on holidays.
