Effective immediately, due to underground pipes being laid on Daniel Street, near the railroad crossing, the E201 Kenner Loop bus is on a temporary detour with one (1) missed stop.

E1 Veterans-Airport

E1 Outbound Service Stop Temporarily Discontinued
Until further notice, due to construction work on Veterans Blvd, the E1-Veterans, outbound service stop ID#11053, on Veterans at Idaho has been temporarily discontinued. Passengers may board the bus at Veterans and Indiana, stop ID #11060 by Chick-fil-A.

JEFFERSON PARISH CLOSED FRIDAY, APRIL 7, 2023 IN OBSERVANCE OF GOOD FRIDAY

April 5, 2023

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish Government offices, including all Jefferson Parish libraries and Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS), will be closed on Friday, April 7, 2023. Programming at Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation Department (JPRD) parks and playgrounds (not including Lafreniere Park or Parc des Familles) will be suspended on Friday in observance of the Good Friday holiday and will resume normal operations on Saturday, April 8, 2022. Additionally, all Jefferson Parish libraries will be closed on Sunday, April 9, 2023 in observance of Easter.

 

Jefferson Parish Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday, April 7. CLICK HERE to see maps and schedules to check service by route.

 

Garbage collection and curbside recycling will take place as scheduled. For additional information regarding collection, please contact the Department of Environmental Affairs at 504-731-4612.

Saturday schedule is operated on the following holidays:

  • Mardi Gras Day
  • Good Friday
  • July 4th
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

 

A separate schedule will be announced and used during carnival season (week preceding Mardi Gras day).

Routes without Saturday service do not operate on holidays.
