Statement regarding face mask use on public transportation
In light of the court ruling on Monday, April 18, 2022 and effective immediately,  the TSA will not enforce the mask mandate  on public transportation.   Therefore, JP Transit and its operators will  no longer enforce the mask mandate on Buses or Paratransit vehicles.   However,  the CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks on public transit.   We will communicate any updates publicly if and/or when they change.

Stronger Passenger Communications – JP Transit, Formerly JeT, Rolls Out New Name and New Brand

December 29, 2021

To better communicate with our passengers, JeT has become JP Transit. Over the next several weeks you’ll begin to see newly branded buses, new signage, new route and timetable information, new maps, a new Bus Tracker look and feel, new website, etc., all in an effort to make the passenger experience as convenient as possible in Jefferson Parish.

We feel our passengers deserve the best transit experience possible and we’re doing our best to provide it.
