Title VI Compliance
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

Jefferson Parish Transit does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, disability, or age. Title VI Complaint Procedure
Any person who believes he or she has been unlawfully discriminated against on the basis of race, color or national origin in violation of Title VI as a result of a JP Transit action may file a complaint with JP Transit. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with JP Transit within 180 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory action.
